foundations and manhood
Re think, David what are your convictions in this ministry that you are in!
Personally, if I do not take a moment to start reflecting about what and why I have been investing my life into this ministry, what I’m doing could simply end up a usual routine. A never ending chase of desired growth, multiplications and so much so that the beginning of it is forgotten.
First and foremost, I’m convince that a relationship with God is the basis for everything that we do. We can build many things in the youth, but if we fail to build this basis strong whatever we do can simply become a religion. Jesus never died for a religion but a relationship. If we are able to build this strong in every single youth, it will enable all to sustain in all circumstances. Hence, to me what’s important is that we build people that treasure this personal walk with God. That everyone takes the responsibility of their own walk with God.
The next thing that must never be forgotten is that I want to build God’s people to be people of one book. There should be no compromise of his word in our lives. If this is not build properly in our youths today when we grow up we will be a group of people that fluctuates. Build youths that live only according to one book. As hard as it is, we seek to live to please God. The word is the anchor of every single soul. I cannot help to be certain that foundations are consequential. If we fail to build the foundations strong in the youths today, given the talented skills it would be going downhill.
Thirdly, what is important is that we must be people that live a lifestyle that reaches out to the lost. We are not called to be Christians that are periodic. I always believe that there are no specific seasons where people can know the love of all. In all seasons, everyone can. Hence, I am convince that a lifestyle that reaches out to the lost must be built strongly in the youths today.
Those foundations are what I truly believe that are important because it will shape how strong one can last till the end. The next few convictions are what I truly believe about the church of God.
I believe that God has called the church to shine. That in everything that God has given to us; we must do our best and be his light. God has called us to be his light, pave the way for the lost. When light exist, darkness vanishes.
I believe in a disciple making church. Put it this way, I’m giving my life to believe in a reproductive churches. I do not believe in building his church for this generations but generations to generations. That not only does a healthy cell grows but it multiplies. I do not give in to incremental growth, for if that’s the case as what Hybels say we can prepare a funeral for the church. Take it from me, that I also truly believe in rising up local leaders who are leading their own generation. Each generation must be better than the one before. There is also no one that has no potential. I believe that every single youth or person that God has placed in our ministry is useful. God has called them, and it’s my responsibility as a leader to bring all these people to live out their potential that God has called them to be.
In building God’s ministry I have also been convince that we are not just an army but a family. I desire, long and constantly do my best to build his church as a family. Where one accepts each other strengths, flaws and somewhere everyone can be real and cheer each other on.
Throughout all these years, my passion for building man of God and living out to what God has called us to be has never ceased. God has called everyone single man to lead, love, protect and mentor. This has nothing to do with being chauvinist. Rather, for every man God has called you to us to lead our family. Yes, we should consult and ask for advices but ultimately God has called us to lead. Be it in family or normal situations, we are called to lead. So on with the other three qualities as well. God has called all man to live in obedience with him. True men of God are those who live in submission and obedience to his word.
God, thank you for reminding me why I am doing what I am doing. Father, even as I recap and renew all these convictions. I also know that I need you to continue to help me to live up all these. When I get so caught in the idea of doing things I simply get lost at times. So God, I know it’s not easy but help me.
before i end:
MALE BY BIRTH BUT MAN BY CHOICE.
this is extremely incoherent. whatever that was simply on my mind, i just can’t be bothered to re phrase it such that it sounds intellectual. :/
nicely put. you da man (of Christ) !
then you are the 5MAN LAH. haha
