religion vs relationship

I was mulling over these few thoughts last week:

Sometimes, the more we think we are right, the more we are in the danger of being wrong as we have become visual might have become handicapped by our own ego.

Anyway, who loves to believe that they are in the wrong?

The best thing about religion is that we become so busy doing things for God that it seems that we are perfectly fine but that’s not true for relationship. Humans might be caught into the motion of doing things for God, that we forget to get our lives right with him.

Oh yes, if we don’t choose to humble ourselves God will. Isn’t that wonderful? the taste of the rod.

Religion teaches us how to do the right things given the right environment, but when it comes to a different playing field be ready to be own by some balls. Whereas relationship flows out of love and truth hence whatever shape and sizes of the balls, you can take it.

In simple words, relationship can be defined as who you really are when no one is watching. :D

Zechariah 4:10 (New Living Translation)

10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.”

If living in a virtual world gives one self satisfaction then it might be covered behind insecurity. Yet, they will never really be who they are.

No matter who may surrogate us, it will never be who you really are.

Humans tend to circumvent when they are faced with gantlets.

Man and Woman choose respond with gauntlets with uncertainty in the outcome but certain of the first step.

At least, they dare to try.

when we remove someone of their leadership, we aren’t merely removing the position or responsibility. we are also removing their ego.

whatever we remove, what do we substitute it with? :)

Jian hao wrote what’s on my mind. :)

and anyhow, i got pissed today! :D finally.

Warning: This post is totally personal. It’s not tested and proven but what I have experienced just formulate the following thoughts.

I believe not. The world needs the same old hero, from the AD 1 until now – he is Jesus. However, prior to that, the world might need some new methods. Effective solutions are great but new problems > good old solutions. The way a theft group successfully robs a bank in the 80s won’t work again in this generation. Because technology has improved, defense systems have changed. Therefore I simply conclude that new problems this generation is capable of producing will oust if we fight it head on, thinking we know how to solve it.

“Yeah, I handled this issue before. I think I can solve it again. No problem.”

Will President Obama battle the economic crisis with the same old tactics used by former presidents who contributed to previous economic recovery? He won’t. He has new ideas up his sleeves. I think what I’ll need to use is a little bit of creativity and a lot of ownership. Ownership, as I discussed with Hoe, is not that simple. It gotta be throwing all your possible options on the table and think, which one is gonna work for this generation/problem/issue/person? And not which one looks easier to execute, sounds more feasible or ten year series (methods that have succeeded or were effective in the past).

I learnt not to call up my shepherd/leader for any problem that crops up and ask for solutions. He can give me some advice but he may not be the solution nor part of the solution. Like what Pastor Shirley mentioned, maybe I am the answer to the prayer. I’d like to phrase it this way I am the change I am looking for.

Ladies and gentlemen. It’s time to change your strat, reload your guns and take a shot.

We must not bring people to church, but the church should be brought to the people.

my generation of youths might be known as the self reliant or independent by the masses. What lies beneath those two words is a unsaid need for recognition which is infuse with insecurity burning deep within.

however, this is yet the worse. It only keeps going downhill with time. Who will rescue them from the drowning sea?
